We are issuing a boil water notice for customers located in the following areas: Cedar Branch Park (South portion), Subdivisions located down double bridge road (Timber Bay, Grandview Terrace, Wood Canyon Waters, Deer Island, Spillview estates and other surrounding who experienced a water outage on 11/20/2022.

The East Cedar Creek Fresh Water Supply District has a vacancy on the Board of Directors. The Board will need to fill the vacant seat by appointment at December's regular meeting held on December 21, 2022. (SEE "BOARD OF DIRECTORS - VACANCY" BELOW TO APPLY).
Board Meetings are every third Wednesday of the month at 12:30pm at the Administration Building.
The District's Board meetings are open to the public and we will strive to maintain social distancing and will also be available by video/telephone conference on Zoom as long as possible. The link to join the meetings by zoom video and/or telephone conference will be posted under the "Public Notice" page above at least 72 hours before the meetings are held. You can also contact our office for the zoom meeting details. *****Please note as of September 1st, 2021 anyone wishing to participate in meeting will be required to be visibly seen and clearly audible to other participants. *********
Our Board Meetings are held on every third Wednesday of the month unless otherwise posted (see public notice section on this website). These meetings are open to the public and there is always a Public Comment section on the agenda. The Public Comment section is for the Public to address non-agenda items and/or request that their item to be considered on a future agenda. Individuals are limited to a maximum of five (5) minutes. The Board cannot deliberate or take action on non-agenda items. On 08/21/2019 the Board of Directors adopted the following rules effective September 1, 2019 for allowing each member of the public who desires to address the Board regarding an item on an agenda for all open meetings. BOARD OF DIRECTORS - VACANCY
The East Cedar Creek Fresh Water Supply District has a vacancy on the Board of Directors. The Board will need to fill the vacancy for a seat by appointment within 60 days for the seat term that ends in November 2026.
The District will be accepting applications for appointment until 4pm on Wednesday December 14th, 2022. Applications are available at our Administration Office located at 115 Hammer Rd, Gun Barrel City, Tx 75156 and on our website.
On December 21, 2022, at the Regular Board Meeting, the Board will review applications and appoint a new member
The Board of Directors, by quorum, governs on behalf of the District’s best interest and is a non-salary position.

BOARD ELECTIONS NOTIFICATIONS:
Elections for Board Members are held every even number years in November. The District tries to do a joint election, contracting through the Henderson County Elections Office.
The District's next election will be held on November 8, 2022. The deadline to file a candidate application for this election will be August 22, 2022.
- On 08/17/2022 The Board of Directors approve to "Order an Election".
- Deadline to file a candidate application is Monday August 22, 2022.
- On 09/21/2022 The Board approved an "Order of Cancellation" and certified candidates Joe Lomonaco, Larry Bratton, and William Goheen as unopposed. (Note: Director Jan Wynn did not run again).
- On 11/16/2022 The Board seated the newly re-elected Board members Joe Lomonaco, Larry Bratton, and William Goheen. There is now one vacancy on the Board of Directors.
